This group began sitting in July 2013 as an experiment using the 'Basic Guide' published by the 'Scole Experimental Group' in 1996.

We've changed the way we sit over the years. I am continuing to develop trance mediumship and Liz gives a mixture of evidential clairvoyance, inspired speaking and trance...

Our intentions are to receive information that will help us understand the bigger picture, why we are here, what happens when we die, the mechanics of mediumship and how we can help in raising the quality of consciousness...

175th Sitting 01/08/2018

We had the room setup as usual.

I did the opening prayer at 7.35pm, turned out the light and put the music on...

We did the Rainbow Bridge visualisation exercise then carried on into the session...

After about 30 minutes Liz started to speak and I turned down the music...

'I'm shown a house... round window, tall house... yellowish brick...'

Me... 'Has it got a garden?'

'I think there is a garden at the rear, some trees, a lawn...'

Me... 'Can you get a feeling of where the house is?'

'I think it's in the country... not in a big town... being shown a fountain... a house is just a gate... got an image of paint brushes painting the house...'

'Siamese... Siamese cats or Siamese twins...'

'Image of a car, fancy car, old fashioned open top car, rather stately...'

'I'm seeing newspaper'

Me... 'Is there a headline on the newspaper?'

'It's just like a cutting... just got the word horse, and the word courage... kidney... got a very dry mouth... kidney stones... someone's making reference to The Old Contemptables, the last remaining soldiers from the war... little black dog... got the phrase Horses for Courses, home is best... Tyneham village, taken over during the war, territorial army in Dorset... grape vine... got an old school tie, grey and red... saying, very proud of my boys... I think this could be Francis's father... barrels of water... when I look at the house I see white shutters... forest'

'I asked him what he wants to say and he says tell the boys I love them and am so proud of them... he's showing me his medals... comfortable now... a churchyard...'

Me... 'Can you get the name of the churchyard?'

'It's one I've seen in Buxted...'

Me... 'Is he able to tell us anything about what he's doing now on the other side?'

'Working... restoring...'

Me... 'What is there to restore in the spirit world?'

'Restoring souls, the soldiers, restoring their spirit...'

Me... 'Is he doing that as they come over?'

'He's been helping'

Me... 'Was he helped when he went over?'

'Didn't need it... he just keeps saying, love my boys, thank you'

'Just getting, blessed are the meek, they shall inherit the Earth... Cantilever, I think it's to do with a bridge... course fishing...'

'I had this feeling... we had someone before who had been lamenting a bridge failure and felt responsible but I think now it's all peaceful. Mistakes happen, we can blame ourselves, and carry a lot of guilt and burden for it, but these things do happen, it's not intentional, human beings make mistakes. It's when it causes trauma to others that we blame ourselves and carry a big burden of guilt but in the big scheme of things we're all just little cogs in a bigger plan and the accidents that happen serve part of a larger purpose or initiate trains of action and life courses that have their own impetus and value and purpose. Changes that give other opportunities, blessings in disguise. Stumbling blocks can be stepping stones and what may appear a disaster may also serve as spiritual impetus, fodder for the spirit. Why do bad things happen to good people? They are hurdles that initiate change and growth of spirit'

'Mayonnaise... Myan.. Mya... play some music for a little bit...'

I turned the music up.

'Gravitas... grounding gravity... connection with Confucius... the civilising effect of education... but in spirit now we see the likeness of the contrasting philosophy of Lao-Tzu, the Taoist philosophy of letting things flow, be natural. We have a dialectic between the forces of civilisation and education and forming children to be civilians, to be members of society and the innate need to grow naturally, unrestrained, to fulfil your true potential, the difference between a pruned tree shaped into a particular form and a wild tree growing naturally. Find the balance between these two important paradigms for each and every one. Over-education, over-civilisation can cramp the style and the natural tendencies to grow and cause corruption, ill-health, deformity. Conformity can create deformity. From a spiritual point of view the reigns need to be loosened to allow an entity to grow fully into his incarnation and develop naturally in accordance with his life plan. Glad to see the relaxing of the old public school ethos, stiff upper lip. Good to have the hippy-hippy shakes... pornography is a vent of the natural expression of repressed sexuality, repressed feeling'

'Cantilever bridges fail, the human spirit never fails, remains intact even hidden under a bushel and all the traumas and all the failures are just like bruises that fade with time and the unblemished spirit shines through. Many have been crippled by civilisation and we have to restore them to their original shining purity... okay good job over and out'

I played a tune to help Liz feel back with it.

Then we recalled our Rainbow Bridge exercises...

Liz's was centred around flag stones and then a fountain which had Quan Yin, the goddess of compassion. Liz felt she wanted to tune in to that compassion for beings on the other side. She felt the rainbows around it and tuned in to the other side and allow the contact to be made and stayed with that image of compassion...

I started off with a big Indian Chief who was holding a shield, a spear and bow and arrows. Suddenly he through them all to the ground and picked me up, lifting me high so I could stand on his shoulders. I saw that all around us were battles going on from different periods in the Earth's history from Stone-age men beating each other with clubs to modern day battles. All these battles formed a circle around us and as I watched them they suddenly all threw down their weapons as the Indian Chief had done and they began hugging each other and shaking hands. Then they all started to fade from my view and a ring of fire broke out which burnt out leaving a ring of scorched earth around us. As I watched I saw beautiful coloured flowers growing out of this scorched earth and then hundreds of children appeared and began picking the flowers. There was enough for one flower each but then they started arguing as some wanted more than others and soon they were fighting with each other. I got the feeling that there would always be fighting on Earth until we all start to grow up and learn to live in peace with one another, sharing the worlds resources and realising that there is enough for everyone...

Then I did the healing exercise, closing prayer and our closing down exercise...
