This group began sitting in July 2013 as an experiment using the 'Basic Guide' published by the 'Scole Experimental Group' in 1996.

We've changed the way we sit over the years. I am continuing to develop trance mediumship and Liz gives a mixture of evidential clairvoyance, inspired speaking and trance...

Our intentions are to receive information that will help us understand the bigger picture, why we are here, what happens when we die, the mechanics of mediumship and how we can help in raising the quality of consciousness...

86th Sitting 10/11/2015

We had the room setup as usual.

I did the opening prayer at 8.40pm, turned out the light and put the music on.

We did the Rainbow Bridge Exercise…

Liz started off sitting in a cave with water dripping down in front of her like a waterfall and it was full of rainbows and glittering diamonds. Looking through it she could see streams, a boggy landscape and a patchwork of rivulets going down to a large body of water. Purple hills and mountains were in the distance and there were spider webs in front of her all bejewelled with dew drops. Liz then saw a band of monks and nuns coming down from the hills. They wore grey and brown gowns and were carrying a body, not a coffin, just the body. They removed its clothes, took it to the water, put it on a raft and went out to sea. When they came back one of the monks came towards Liz wearing a dark grey gown with long black hair and beard. He sat down and explained to Liz that this was the body, the husk of one of their brothers but he hadn’t died, he’d never stopped being alive, this was just the outer covering. He had some silver fish and started to cook them as he explained that the body of their brother made good food for the fish as this was an inhospitable landscape, not much grew but the sea was full of fish so they gave the body back to the sea for the fish to feed on. It was a way of replenishing stocks, all part of the whole ecosystem. He said there was never any want in the Earth, all our needs were met and the fish were there in abundance, there was food for all…

I started off in a very green place next to a pond of green water and the rocks were covered in green moss and slime, even the sky looked green. There were green frogs on the rocks and I realised I was a green frog too. I got the feeling of being looked at and could vaguely see faces in the sky. It felt like I was being observed in a huge glass tank. I imagined myself out of the tank and then found myself in a classroom with a group of children looking into this tank. Then I noticed people looking into the classroom through the windows so imagined myself outside the classroom with them. I decided to explore and walked out of the school onto a grassy field then up a slope reaching the top of a hill where I sat down to enjoy the warm sun and blue sky. Again I got the feeling I was being watched by people beyond the sky so imagined myself there and found myself in a bright dazzling white light unable to make out anything until my eyes got used to the brightness. Then I saw another group of people standing around another glass tank and when I had a look I saw it contained the whole physical universe…

(Liz suggested I’d transposed from the twinkle in my Father’s eye to being the actual eye)

I put the music back on and we continued the session…

I was feeling light headed.

Liz got the name Valerie.

The atmosphere was looking lighter and misty to me then it darkened and I saw bright blobs floating by.

Liz got the name David Armstrong.

Liz began to speak…

‘Heliotrope… I have this large green leaf like a cheese plant… There seem to be lots of cross communications, lots of people… it’s like seeing a spider’s web’

‘I’ve got this very thick book, I’m going to try and open it, it’s like a bible, got a little bit about sparrows… The birds, not one shall fall but the Father in heaven shall know of it’

‘I have the sense of cold grey stone archways…’

‘I have that sense of attention to detail, every line, every expression, every stage of growth, every person, every transition is noted, is observed, is registered, is lovingly recorded in the way that a parent watches a child grow, but we are all very important, part of a finely tuned web and each part is registered, the spider knows, the spider has spun the web, the spider knows each break, each section, each strand’

‘A telescope on the battlements of a castle, steel rivets, metal, it could be guns, gun emplacement.  I’m looking at the stars, they’re very brilliant, there’s no other light’

‘I’m looking at reflections in the window, families; I have a sense of Hogmanay’

‘Got the name Heather’

‘Somebody’s saying old power, I’m getting accordion music’

The music ended and I asked if there was any more to say…

Liz continued…

‘Just got the sense of this ancient dragon, old power… family feuds… I sense the old power… Looking up at the stars, this clarity, the brilliance of stars, the telescope seeing far, the whole universe out there, never ending. It’s this sense of in the stars are hidden patterns, hidden information, there’s hope in the seeds of new life, nothing’s stuck, the old shapes will be shaken and this new brilliance and wisdom will come through and all the old quarrels will be forgotten… That’s all’

We waited a few minutes for Liz to feel back with it but she still felt as if she was listening, she felt she was still caught up in it for a while as if there was more to come through, Scottish stuff, Macbeth, witches and a connection with Heather and old family feuds…’

Liz then came back completely and did the healing exercise, closing prayer and closing down exercise…

85th Sitting 03/11/2015

We had the room setup as usual.

I did the opening prayer at 8.40pm, turned out the light and put the music on.

We did the Rainbow Bridge Exercise…

Liz started off looking at an exquisitely beautiful series of three lakes with islands. They looked like Japanese gardens and were linked by a wickerwork bridge. They were full of rainbows, blossom, orchids and lilies and Liz was fascinated by the beauty and simplicity. A Japanese lady came forward and led Liz over to a beautiful temple like a pagoda in the middle of one of the islands. They were about to have a tea ceremony sitting in a circle of people with a fountain in the middle, all incredibly beautiful and exquisite. Liz was very happy just to sit there as they were served steaming yellow fragrant jasmine tea in tiny cups. In the distance she saw wonderful snowy mountains and a path leading there and then both the Japanese lady and Liz began to form a snake like movement out into the snow towards the mountains, a beautiful fluid movement to the mountains and back again. When they got back, instead of a fountain there was a brazier of fire and someone passed around a bowl of fragrant fire. Liz had the feelings of the elements and being completely content to just be in that place, be completely simple. Stillness, simplicity and contentment with exquisite beauty in that one place. Liz found herself looking at the Japanese lady and it was like she was talking to her as Liz saw her face and hands moving like a dancer, it was like they were dancing this scene…

I started off standing by a manhole cover that had been taken off revealing a hole so I decided to climb down it. There was a rope ladder and as I descended I saw that I was entering a new world, climbing down from the sky on this ladder until I reached some lush grass on the top of a hill. I looked up and saw the ladder disappeared into the blue sky. There were lots of children running around who didn’t seem surprised that I had just climbed out of the sky. I walked down to a shallow lake which had a waterfall on the other side so I went in and waded across to the waterfall then went through it to find a cave in the rocks which I entered. The walls were sparkling with gold and I saw people dressed in white robes standing by the walls as I walked into the cave. I journeyed further into the cave and I noticed the gold walls were becoming incrusted with precious stones and the people were wearing colourful jewellery, the further I went the more jewels and precious stones I saw. Then I came to a junction, one way continued with the gold and jewelled walls and the other was just a plain rock cave so I took the plain rock cave route which eventually came out into a room with a long table. Around the table sat what looked like monks eating soup and a chunk of bread. I joined them and was given a bowl of soup and bread and as I looked around I saw one of the people from the other cave was also there and as he ate, his robes and jewels started to disappear and he turned into one of the monks. He looked pleased and contented that he was now part of this simple living and I got the feeling that all the monks had come from the other cave to live a simple life…

I put the music back on and we continued the session…

The room started to flicker to me.
Then it felt like there was something crawling in my hair.
It felt cold around my face.
I had a lot of pressure and itchy feelings in my right ear which continued on and off throughout the session.

It started to look wispy and wavy in the room to me.
Then it was lighter and misty.

My legs and feet became very cold.
My forehead felt tight.

Liz began to speak…

‘A sense of weight, golden bricks in my lap, a city of gold, like a lion, like Aslan, Narnia…’

‘It’s like the words in the background… Of what shall we build the house?’

‘I sense this house, almost like a tent, made of silks that have rainbow patterns, colours painted on them in silk and this silk is spun from the humblest of creatures the worm, turquoise…’

‘Image of these bubbles, bubbles have this filmy rainbow on the surface like in iridescent patterns on oily water, on an insect’s wing, these delicate membranes… Of what shall we build our house?’

‘I have the name Charmian or Charmain’

‘I’m seeing these silks again, embroidery silks, like walking down a path of sweet peas, very subtle pastel colours, scented, sheer artistry, the creation…’

‘When you look at bubbles that are forming a bubble can engulf another bubble, they can coalesce and form a bigger bubble. These are just subtle manifestations of energy perceived by the eyes or it can be music for the ears, manifestations of energy, one soundwave being modulated by another, absorbing another waveform, another function of light, the sound of energy, energy forms absorbing, coalescing, mixing with others. We can interpret this in different ways according to our cultural beliefs, our conditioning, can see it as savagery, extinction, murder of one species by another one, erased by another, invasions, take overs, assimilations. This is just the natural flow and transition and the creative patterning of energy in all its manifestations and it’s all perfect, it’s all how it is… Of what shall I build this house?’

‘It’s the mirage of phantasmagoria, moving, coalescing, shifting, shape changing, miracle. The patterns and the colours and the shapes and the sounds like clouds, changing, patterning and the bursting like bubbles…’

‘Got the name Henry or Henrietta, Henrik?’

‘I have a sense of the lessons to be learnt from this falling snow, this great vast snowy dessert, wilderness, that in the middle there’s absolute presence and fire lit in the middle of this snow and ice, and the wolf, the wind and the knife edge of survival sharpens the focus into the ice crystals, the meaning, the meaning of predation, of the predator and prey, it’s attunement, that the one becomes exquisitely sensitive of the energy of the other’

‘What we see as pain, suffering and cruelty in this world is just our interpretation of something we see as fixed which is in fact an energy construct, a waveform and if we saw it as music, patterns, iron filings in a field being moved, shifted in different ways forming different shapes, patterns, being absorbed, being individualised again, single note, single waveform and then bifurcating into a complex pattern and breaking up again, merging with a larger field pattern, all the time transforming. You see the objects as we see them of nature, in their true aspect of energy, the interactions, transitions and patternings can be understood, appreciated independent of our thinking, of our conditioned response, reaction’

The music ended and I asked if there was anything else to be said?

Liz continued…

‘I just have the lady in the silk komodo and she’s dancing. The komodo contains all the shapes and forms of all living things and around her are all created forms and the lion and the lamb are lying beside each other and are with her in friendship, there’s no fear because all forms are understood for what they are and she’s dancing the dance of creation and her name is Isis… That’s all…’

Once Liz felt back with it she did the healing exercise, closing prayer and our closing down exercise.

Liz had remained aware throughout the session whereas I had drifted in and out of sleep…
