This group began sitting in July 2013 as an experiment using the 'Basic Guide' published by the 'Scole Experimental Group' in 1996.

We've changed the way we sit over the years. I am continuing to develop trance mediumship and Liz gives a mixture of evidential clairvoyance, inspired speaking and trance...

Our intentions are to receive information that will help us understand the bigger picture, why we are here, what happens when we die, the mechanics of mediumship and how we can help in raising the quality of consciousness...

94th Sitting 24/02/2016


We had the room setup as usual.
I did the opening prayer at 8.40pm, turned on the music and extinguished the light.

We did the Rainbow Bridge visualisation exercise…

Liz found herself in a moonlit scene by a dark, silent river. There was a bridge which looked like it was made of spider webs or lace work. It was very delicate. She started to cross over it and suddenly felt the sticky silk spider webs were spinning around her. She felt she was being mummified in a cocoon. Liz knew she had to do something inside, she was meant to grow somehow but wasn’t sure what for or how to do it. She felt like a prisoner and perceived herself in a dark cell with a chair opposite her. Suddenly she knew she had a key to escape and the key knew where to go and how to get out and it was to do with light. Liz just had to imagine this shaft of light coming right down through the top of the cocoon through her head and to her feet, an arrow of light and the cocoon would open like a flower, all the threads would stretch out again and Liz found herself sitting on a lily pad like an enormous lotus flower the petals opened to the starry sky above. All the threads were still connected to her but they had spread out and were connected to everything in the universe. It was like she had nowhere to go because she was everywhere…

I started off in a moonlit night and saw in front of me a huge butterfly. The body looked human and the wings were pearlescent reflecting different colours in the moonlight. It then started to flap its wings with incredible power making the ground shake and I could feel the energy as it took off. There was a coiled rope attached to it and I grabbed hold of it as it uncoiled from the ground and I tied the end in a loop and sat in it as I took off with the butterfly. I could see the lights of towns below me and felt the power in the butterfly as it soured high in the sky with great speed. I then noticed threads were forming off me like ropes going down and soon each one had a person sitting on the end of it like me. There were about 50 of us now flying through the air attached to this butterfly. It started to get light and I could see grass fields below us. We started to descend towards a grassy hill and landed on the side of it with the butterfly on the top. Its wings disappeared and it turned into a young lady with a hood and robes sitting on a chair and we all sat round her and watched as she began to sing. There were no words just a beautiful sound and hundreds of birds and animals joined us to listen. As she sung we could see rainbows building up around her and various colourful structures like spider webs which would come and go in time with the sounds. The feeling I got from the wonderful scene was how music can create so much happiness in the world, it can lift you up when you’re down and produce beautiful pictures in your mind…  

Once again we noticed lots of similarities in our visualisations.

I put the music back on and we continued the session…

I noticed the room becoming lighter, the light seemed to pulsate in places and soon developed into bright blobs coming and going in front of me.
                                                                                                                       
Liz had the feeling of a belisha beacon on a zebra crossing and she got the name Janet or junket.

She continued…

‘Feel I’m on a narrow track, like a cinder path between sand dunes in a dessert. A feeling of canvas, army tents… Donald… boots and glasses… lobster… it’s like a cartoon of Dad’s Army, a helmet with camouflage… toothpaste…’

‘That all started off as if I was walking through a glass darkly, dark glass… and then I said to Donald as if he’d died that he doesn’t have to stay with the heat, he can walk his way through to the pool, a green place, an oasis, a cool pool to swim, he’s free now’

‘It’s like sand or Sandra…’

‘Think tank, bush craft, come back to the cinder track it’s a good starting place, door handles, knobs’

‘Got the name Rudolph and cough, coughing… precious gem… pine cone… something like a hair parting, parting in hair… Valentino… no surprise, testing, delivery… scud missiles, training camps. I seem to have come up on an arms dump… sustainability… Territorial Army… this started off in the dessert…’

‘Keep seeing berets, not sure if they’re red or green, think they’re red’

‘I’m looking for the well in the dessert to create a great fountain of water… the greening of the dessert’

‘The message is that all who come and drink from my well, my fountain, their thirst will be quenched, they will never go thirsty again and this well contains the water of life. All who drink this water will not thirst again, will have eternal life’

The music ended and Liz continued…

‘I feel as if I’ve been invited on the diamond express… going very fast and then it’s the end of the tunnel, it’s the golden lion, I’m going through this tunnel on this speeding train, the diamond express, through the shadows and the webs, I’m at the end, it’s the lion’

‘I have an important announcement, it will take half a century to adjust, the palm trees in the dessert. My roar will be heard all over the world, don’t look down look up, see the face of change…’

Once Liz was back and feeling ok she did the healing exercise, closing prayer and our closing down exercise.

I had drifted off a few times during the session.
Liz thought she had drifted off at the start but remained mostly awake throughout…

93rd Sitting 10/02/2016


We had the room setup as usual.

I did the opening prayer at 8.35pm, turned out the light and put the music on.

We did the Rainbow Bridge visualisation exercise…

Liz started off in a great black ocean which then changed to a brick tunnel, a bridge like a tunnel going under or through the water. Liz wanted to go down it; she felt it was leading her to the sea, a large area of dark water. Liz then found a boat, a blue inflatable dingy and got in it. It felt to Liz like there was someone in front of her, a double, as if there were two of her but it was just Liz in the dingy. She rowed until she came out into a lake with willows on both sides and a starry sky above. Liz rode out into the lake then lay on her back in the dingy looking up at the stars. It then felt as if the dingy was speeding off, taking off into the night towards the stars. Then Liz changed into a bird, she became an eagle in a blue sky with clouds, gliding over snowy mountain peaks.  Then she became a tall bird like a penguin on ice, just standing there, just being. Next she turned into an African lady suckling a child, lots of colourful beads in her hair. Then she became another animal like a bear, then an orangutan and a monkey. Liz just had this feeling she was all of these different forms; they were all her, she had been them all. Then she seemed to be coming back to the lake where she felt she was now a white fountain flowing upwards and out into the lake, returning to the lake, a constant current of water recirculating, brilliant white water like light and Liz was a part of it. It was like recycling of life forms but also being shown that this energy of life was constantly coming out of this great pool replenishing itself and falling back again. Liz then felt that her path was back through the tunnel to home. It was like a birthing tunnel homing back to what she originally was but with this sense of connection with all other life forms…

I started off on a pebbly beach, there were cliffs behind me and in front was the sea above which was a thick mist. I stood there and tried to look into the mist and slowly started seeing a few lights like search light beams moving around. The long white beams almost looked solid and as one came past me I reached out and grabbed it and found I could hold onto it. I felt it go into my chest as I became part of it and then I took off with it and soon found I could make it move left or right and up or down. I decided to make it go straight up and it got higher and higher as I went up through the clouds into bright blue skies and then out into space still on the end of this white beam of light. I looked around at all the other stars and planets and noticed that they too started to sprout out beams of white light which started moving around like search lights and when they came close to me they attached to me until I found myself connected to all the stars and planets. Then I found I was turning into a planet. I was like the birth of a new planet and I felt this wonderful sense of love coming from all the other stars and planets. The beams then disconnected and receded back to each star and planet but I still felt at one with them all. I then was aware of life forms evolving on me and felt it all was a part of me. The stars and planets and all the life evolving on me were one…

We both recognised that our visualisations shared many experiences. It was as if we were both experiencing the same thing but interpreting it in our own way.

Liz had become very cold; she said it wasn’t a normal cold.
I told her to go with it and I put the music back on to resume the session…

Liz began to speak…

‘It’s like the word crista, Cristobel, Kristy… nemesis… Got the kaleidoscope again, all those little glass beads, little glass prisms, sense of how it works, each prism reconfigured in its geometry to the next, its association, intricate geometry’

I was starting to see bright moving blobs in front of me then it went misty in the room.
I felt a fuzzy feeling on the back of my head.

Liz continued…

‘I see a May pole, central pole and strands of strings going out, centrifugal, all connected. When it rotates fast it looks like a continuous circle, a solid but it’s not. One made up of the main strands, each one an individual, moves very fast, spinning, looks like one’

‘The compound eye is made up of a number of different pieces, number of different sensitive elements each feeding back a bit of information like the pieces of a jigsaw, kaleidoscope put together to make a picture and the picture can change according to the active elements, reactive light sensitive elements. The picture is always different to different eyes or even the same eye… and the eye is the I… which part of me is me?’

‘The word sludge or slurry. Moving a lot of sludge or slurry out of the way’

‘I keep getting the word conquilla, don’t know if there’s some concern, current concern’

‘Custodian… need to carefully select… customise’

‘Scooters seem to be going over flower borders… motorbikes’

‘Seems to be like a picture of waving corn or corn circles… look like… terrestrial source… limey… their best kept secret… Tellurian, testing testing… Egyptian… got Kettering, Cairo and Kettering… just got a sense of linking all these threads like great landmarks, leylines, they’re going beyond, between continents, between countries, sort of straddling the plates of the Earth… some tellurian importance’

‘Got the image of a parasol, like a dandelion clock seed and scattered everywhere, little parasols, seeds rotating, spinning’

‘I get a picture like Charlie Chaplin, Clive Dunn, Mr Pastry, sort of comedian clowning… Clive Dunn, Dad’s Army, don’t panic, don’t panic’

‘Copper lining, not sure if that relates to clouds. Not golden lining but copper lining, I guess copper is more abundant’

‘Keep getting testing, testing’

‘Feel as though I’m becoming a panda with bamboo shoots’

‘It’s like going through a rapid history lesson from bronze age alternating between fighting peoples and learning peoples. Priests and pillagers, it’s like constant conflict, stability and conflict. It’s repeating patterns, it’s repeating, it’s like we need a seismic shift, the record’s stuck’

‘Someone’s trying to cut through to the bare bones, it’s not easy… have to learn to dance with death… it’s a shaman’s path, it’s the only way to shake the sense out of the illusion’

Once Liz was feeling back with it I did the healing exercise, closing prayer and our closing down exercise.

Liz had remained aware throughout this week whereas I had drifted in and out of consciousness.

We had the room setup as usual.

I did the opening prayer at 8.40pm, turned on the music and extinguished the light.

We did the Rainbow Bridge visualisation exercise…

Liz started off looking up at a dark starry night. There was a wonderful aura and rainbow around the moon. Suddenly a hot air balloon and basket came down with an old woman inside and she invited Liz into the basket. It reminded Liz of the nursery rhyme…  ‘There was an old lady tossed up in a basket seventeen times as high as the moon…’ The lady then turned into a man with spectacles and beard and then back into an old crone again. She tossed Liz over her shoulder as if she was a baby and they went up in the balloon. At first Liz thought she was an old witch kidnapping her but then thought no the woman wanted the love from a child and Liz had become a child, and then she was a cat and she remembered her mother with a ginger cat and how she cuddled it with absolute love and delight and had the same feeling for babies. Liz thought about when she was a baby she could realise the love that her mum felt for her. Children and babies give unconditional love to their parent and the parent responds to that whether animal or human babies. Liz then remembered a boss she had who was a very unhappy lady but loved dolphins. She had a picture of her with dolphins and she was smiling in a way that she would rarely smile. She also had a passion for spiders and webs. There were things in her life that were beautiful and would make her smile and kindle her interest and love. Liz felt this whole thing was an illustration that in everybody’s life there is something, some way towards that feeling of unconditional love. Liz then remembered her daughter when walking in the flower markets in Amsterdam with her and the wonderful colours of the flowers and the love that she felt for her and from her when she was a baby and that she’s always given her this love. She realised that that is always there when babies are born they have this wonderful unconditional love, this openness and this joy in them and there is something in the parent that responds to it despite all the other difficulties that might be going on and this is the thing that endures and is never lost, it gets hidden but it’s the important thing in life to hold onto. Liz then thought about trees, putting her arms around trees. There’s something incredibly solid and vital in this endurance and patience of trees. There are so many beautiful things in the world that you can touch and hold onto, different forms of unconditional love. Liz was reminded of the words of Blake’s poem… ‘How do you know but every bird that cuts the airy way, is an immense world of delight, closed by your senses five?’  and Liz had a feeling she was a lapwing, part of a crowd of lapwings flying over the marshes and that every bird is like a whole world of beauty and love and everything is a manifestation of this unconditional love but to realise that you have to see with the eyes of a child…

I started off in a forest, it was dark and seemed like there had been a forest fire. All the trees were bare and black and I could smell scorched wood but I was aware of a bright light to my right. I walked towards it and found it was a glowing glass dome poking out from the ground about five metres across. I touched it and I immediately lit up and the ground beneath my feet also lit up. I saw other people touching it and they too lit up until the whole scene became bright and colourful. I looked back at the forest and the trees were now full of bright green leaves. There was an old man sitting on a white bench with long white hair and beard dressed in robes. I sat down next to him and he said… ‘look at the children’ and I saw children playing. They looked Victorian; they were playing with very old toys like hobby horses and marbles. The man then said… ‘look at the birds’ and I saw all these birds flying above the children. They were all blue and the children were watching them as they landed on their arms and heads. The children then turned blue as well and the grass went blue and eventually the whole scene was blue. I asked the man where I was and he said I’m not really anywhere and also everywhere. Wherever I am I can tune into and see this blue place. It’s a pure colour and the colour of spirit which exists everywhere and it’s good to try and see it wherever you are…

I put the music back on and we continued the session…

I soon started to see bright blobs in front of me, they were pink and blue.

My legs were very cold.

A few minutes later Liz’s legs were very cold.

Liz began to speak…

‘I see a helicopter, it’s going round and round, the blues and purples, seems like a rainbow bridge… circus… Caroline… zebra, it’s a zebra crossing, it’s black and white. The postman… Queenie…’

‘Lion, lioness… putting your head into its mouth… Rosemary… Beslan and the lion… it’s a book, a children’s book, Stig of the dump… I’m just being shown these children’s books and they’re inspired by spirit, Narnia, C S Lewis’

‘Sharper than a serpent’s tooth’

‘I’ve got Hanna and serendipity and the theatre, school book, it’s like crosses, squares like a graph, just squares to be filled in, it’s an uncomfortable feeling, not a happy experience, trying to keep things in boxes, letters are jumping all over the place, Ls and Ps… got the sense that school is a misery’

 The music ended.

Liz carried on…

‘It’s a crest, like a red cover on the exercise book, like a royal crest, like on an egg, a mark… Crown, something about sovereignty. That stamp seems to belittle, I don’t think the stamp should be there, it’s a stamp of patent, ownership, and these are things, a learning, eggs, they can’t be owned they’re given… the word regicide… I’ve a feeling somebody thought there’s a lot of smallness, narrowness, narrow mindedness in the world, a cramped place compared with the ineffable freedom in the beyond where Hanna is now, only joy’

‘Yes it’s the blinding, that we’re blinkered and blinded into the reality. We can’t parcel up the living things, we can’t own it or put our stamp on it, it’s given freely… That’s it…’

Liz got the names Fred and Rosemary.

Once she was back with it Liz did the healing exercise, closing prayer and our closing down exercise.

We had both dropped off to sleep a couple of times during the session…
