This group began sitting in July 2013 as an experiment using the 'Basic Guide' published by the 'Scole Experimental Group' in 1996.

We've changed the way we sit over the years. I am continuing to develop trance mediumship and Liz gives a mixture of evidential clairvoyance, inspired speaking and trance...

Our intentions are to receive information that will help us understand the bigger picture, why we are here, what happens when we die, the mechanics of mediumship and how we can help in raising the quality of consciousness...

It was good to be back after a four week break.

We had the room setup as usual.

I did the opening prayer at 8.40pm turned out the light and put the music on.

We did the Rainbow Bridge visualisation…

Liz started off on little tufts of grass like stepping stones. There were dandelion clocks and the seeds were blowing everywhere. Liz was chasing them and caught one which lifted her up floating above marshes and pools half-hidden in the grasses. She was going towards the sea with all of these dandelion seeds with rainbows going through them, it was a beautiful feeling of lightness. Then she seemed to be at St Wilfred’s Hospice in Eastbourne, in the garden. She went through one of the windows where there was an elderly lady with white hair lying on the bed. Liz was talking to her and was aware of the importance of the flowers outside in the garden; every room had a French window looking out into the gardens.  Liz then went through the various rooms reassuring people who were dying, then she went out of the window following the dandelion seeds and found herself free again with the clouds moving further and further out to sea until it was all bright shiny water. Liz was on her own with all these rainbows and dandelion seeds just floating in the air over the sea. There was a feeling of loneliness and she wanted to be with a community. Then she found herself by a cot in a hospital nursery with a new-born baby. She was playing with it, tickling it with the dandelion seeds and it was laughing. Liz had gone from someone who was dying to someone newly-born. Liz then decided to visit her mum and found her asleep so tickled her with the dandelions and then left her some on the dressing table to remember. The feeling Liz got was the wanting to be involved in healing and reassuring people of the spiritual reality by visiting them…

I started off standing in the middle of a whirlwind spinning round and round me. I could see shoes amongst the debris flying around me. I looked up and saw the sun directly above me and a beam of light came down into my head, through me and out of my feet into the ground. I felt charged up and got the feeling that I was able to stop this whirlwind with my mind which I did and the spinning shoes fell to the ground. I could now see I was standing in a grassy, hilly landscape on top of a hill. I noticed something approaching in the sky and as it got closer saw it was an eagle. It landed on my arm and I felt it wanted to take me somewhere so I held on to its leg as it took off into the sky over the hills. The scenery changed to mountains with sharp pointy tops and then I saw a flat area of rock where the eagle landed and left me on my own as it flew up into the mountains.  There was a small pool on the rock and I knelt down beside it looking at my reflection in the still water as three monks appeared also kneeling beside the pool. They told me to put my hands in the water and wash my face which I did giving me a wonderful feeling inside. At that point the music stopped bringing my visualisation to an end…

We continued the session…

I soon saw a bright blob in front of my eyes and had a hissing in my ears lasting a few minutes.

Liz felt she was with friends and had an image of Rupert bear.

The blobs went and the room now looked misty silver/blue to me.

Liz got the word ‘telangiectasia’
She couldn’t think where it came from but could have something to do with muscle sprain.
(she had a sprained wrist)

Liz sensed a Russian girl and got a fleeting impression of her with a band around her eyes.

She got the name ‘Dorothy’

I was aware of light to my right.

Liz got ‘Custard’ or ‘Custody’

She continued…

‘I seem to have a connection with tennis, tennis racket, keep quite or keep calm… and the tennis seems to come back to that Russian girl’

‘Someone dressed up as a queen, like on some sort of cruise, a holiday… I get the fleeting name Rudolf… chrysanthemum, like the dandelions I left for mum, yellow and white… There’s somebody here who’s being quite light hearted, got all these like fantasy figures, slightly outrageous, like there was somebody in a bikini…’

‘I’ve got melon or Melonie… or Mirren, like the actress Helen Mirren… Fortify… I think Freddie is trying to get through’

‘I kept getting Kazakhstan and the space ship… That’s a connection with Freddie, he said the astronaut, he was going to play one of the songs to calm him before take-off, it was going to be a Queen song, I think he said thankyou Freddie, that was in the news…’

‘I had a feeling almost like crying, this feeling of being moved, a wonderful thing that someone who’s died has left something precious, something that can inspire other people, that the works of their hands and minds endures, it outlives the flesh. That is moving, it makes me want to cry, it’s beautiful. I left a legacy, Freddie…’

‘That’s very poignant to blast off into space with the words of a Queen song, I know what it was, the question, I don’t know if it was in the song… is this reality? That was being questioned… what is reality? That was the song he chose. I guess it’s this thing that to turn fiction into reality, whatever you imagine can mould the physical reality’

‘People were laughed at for assuming they could fly and that man could fly to the stars’

‘It’s like the words… We are such stuff that dreams are made on and our little lives are rounded in sleep… Maybe that’s the crux of it, we have to question what is real, we have to doubt our own version of reality’

‘And they have all the flags on the space station, you have to notice they are all made up of primary colours, permutation, that notion of individual nation, variations on a theme but flags turn to tatters, they’re changing colours all the time and so it all goes wrong, to put a flag on the moon is to lay claim on what is universal that’s why it all went wrong. When the centre is at every point everyone is everyone, there’s no individuality, it’s illusion’

‘I see this great sun like a ball of individuals but they’re all connected like the rays of the sun, all smiling and laughing, all the astronauts and those around each other they all have their roots in the sun like the petals of a sun flower, it’s a big smile…’

‘I’ve got the word featherweight… perhaps it’s floating through space like a featherweight… I’m seeing fireworks like a festival… fun… life is fun…’

The music had ended.

‘End on that note of a funfair or a fanfare… funfair or fanfare, I think that’s all connected with Freddie… Thank you Freddie… Ahh I’ve got the elephant nose so perhaps the group say they’re with us…’

Liz still had a pulling sensation on her solar plexus and felt a bit giddy.
She had a drink of water and we waited until she felt back with it.

Liz then did the healing exercise, closing prayer and closing down exercise.

We had both remained awake throughout the session this week.
