We had the room setup as usual.
I did the opening prayer at 8.40pm, turned out the light and
put the first tune on.
We did the Rainbow Bridge visualisation exercise…
Liz began at a river bank where there was a rainbow bridge.
She was aware of lots of people around her appearing to her as faces and eyes.
They were talking to her but it was like a dream and Liz couldn’t remember any
details. She seemed to get sucked into these people under and around the bridge
but was also aware of people and beautiful colours on the other side, on the
bank in the distance. Liz wanted to be there and as she thought this she felt
gossamer threads like a long silken lead and pulley pulling her to the other
side and then found herself on her back as if doing the back stroke in the sea.
Liz then became aware of being in a glass jar, a bit like being a tadpole in
frogspawn; a thick jell around her putting everything out of focus. Liz thought
she had to get out of this and looked towards the light, then it suddenly
dissolved and she found herself standing in what seemed like an auditorium and
Liz was centre stage but alone and she wondered what was going to happen now.
There was just a sense of presence, being in the here and now as if she had
come out of the cocoon and into absolute reality…
I started off with what looked like a bright white tornado
spinning in front of me reaching from the ground to the clouds in the sky. The
area around me looked baron, brown and dull. Then I saw threads coming off the
tornado, spinning round with it and as they did so the baron ground became
green with fresh grass, plants and trees and then streams and lakes appeared.
Everything became bright, colourful and alive. People began to appear from
different directions walking towards the spinning tornado and as they
approached it took off into the air going up and up until it was just a bright
shining star in the sky. The people then started picking fruit and vegetables
and filled containers with water from the streams. Some white horses appeared
and they all got on them and rode off towards a huge city surrounded by a wall.
I followed them to the city and through the gate in the wall. Inside the city
it was dark and depressing. The people inside looked unhappy and hungry and
were fighting each other. The people on horseback handed out food and drink and
soon the whole city was eating and drinking, the whole place lit up as everyone
began to look happy and at peace with each other. I saw the king take off his
crown; he wanted to be like everybody else and shared his wealth with everyone.
All weapons were thrown in a furnace as they were no longer required; this was
now a peaceful community where everyone helped each other. I then watched the
people on horseback leave this city and ride off towards another and I noticed
the star in the sky was following them…
I put the music back on and we continued the session…
I soon started to see bright blobs coming and going.
I had an image of someone sitting in a rocking chair with
their back to me. The chair slowly turned round and I saw it was a man with
bushy hair and eyebrows, smoking a pipe in a tweed suit.
Liz dropped off a few times.
I remained awake this week.
The music ended.
Then Liz began to speak…
‘Cornfield… I had
Constable earlier, John Constable; the bridge is dirty… like the Tower of Babel…
got some questions… I was going to ask one at a time not all together… The word
question came so you could ask…’
Me… ‘Okay, I’ve got a
question about the higher self. As I understand it we are a part of the higher
self which is experiencing this physical reality. I wondered if you could
explain what the higher self experiences while we are experiencing the physical
plane’
‘I just have a
panorama like from an airplane, a larger perspective scanning freely, a
different time scale, faster. Difficult to describe for someone who’s on the
ground and never been in an airplane how the world looks, experienced
differently from you sitting in a field looking at the grasses close up and the
insects, the population here in this small patch is very large but flying over
this in an airplane you don’t see the individual corn, the heads of the corn,
the small insects, you see a patchwork of fields, receiving very fast and then
there’s new hills and mountains, clouds and sun, and then the sea and then you
almost see the curvature of the Earth, a different perspective, enormous but
when you’re sitting in the field that is enormous. Different time scale,
different experience but difficult to describe unless you’ve experienced it but
the higher self encompasses the person in the cornfield on the ground counting
the insects and maybe aware but it’s also true that the person on the ground
counting the insects can perceive and experience into the experience of the
higher self encompassing the whole globe and moving faster than light. So the
higher self and the lesser self share the experience of each other, are a part
and parcel of each other. I hold you, you hold me. We are one, one entity.
Strings held in one bundle but vibrating at different frequencies… Does that
answer your question?’
Me… ‘Yes… as well as
perceiving us in our physical reality does the higher self also exist in a
different reality and can it communicate with other higher selves?’
‘We are held in one
reality but vibrating at different levels and it’s possible to experience, to
resonate and know of the others but each playing it’s tune discretely, is
immersed in that tune but can shift focus temporarily to jump to the awareness
of the others, so yes and no. As above so below, as below so above, all held in
one hand, in one mind’
Me… ‘Does the higher
self have yet another higher self that goes beyond itself?’
‘Beyond the beyond
yes, we can’t reach so far to know but there’s like an endless hall of mirrors,
endless. It seems very likely that we are held in an even larger understanding
and that in turn an even larger…’
Me… ‘Do the animals
also have a higher self?’
‘The animals participate;
partake of the higher self, yes. All creations of the mind, all created beings,
all levels extended into further levels’
Me… ‘What about
plants, do they have a higher self?’
‘Plants are also part
of a larger creation and creative force and are maintained and resonate with
the larger consciousness level. They have their extensions into larger
consciousness systems. Everything in this created world has its extension and
it is the product of an extended consciousness system… I have George with me’
Me… ‘He’s very
welcome; can you describe him at all?’
‘Tall and angular,
country gentleman, bygone age’
Me… ‘Has he come with
a message at all?’
‘I seem to have
caterpillars, digging the garden, frogs, cherry trees’
Me… ‘Does George have
a connection with either of us?’
‘Silver, a connection
with Silver, Silver has brought George, George Alan, connected with place, I
heard George is obsessed with cherries, cherry trees, I think the… not Hebden
Bridge, fox holes, Hebden Bridge or Hampstead Heath’
Me… ‘Is that where
George lived?’
‘I can’t get it…
Hampton Court. I’ve got the name Geronimo, seems to be a lady called Anne, it’s
his wife maybe, tapestry, embroidered table cloth, the towns people’
Me… ‘Do you know what
job George had?’
‘I get the feeling a
gentleman farmer aristocrat, getting a bridge, near a bridge. Bygone days,
filling in the past. Perhaps there’s a connection with Constable. I now have a
sense of a boat yard… asked George if he had anything particular he wanted to
impart or say but his feeling of dwelling on the past, genealogy and he was a
bit stuck. The greatest pleasure was the flowering cherry tree; he was also
obsessed with ancestry and connection and inherited wealth, inheritance. I
think he thinks now it doesn’t matter but it kept him stuck, attachment to that
thread of ancestry and bygone times. I keep getting that image of the
brilliance of the flowering cherry tree and the cherries, the ripeness of the
fruit, the aliveness of the trees, the blossom falls, the fruit is eaten but
the cherry goes on, it doesn’t worry like humans about inheritance and
connections, it just exists and gives great pleasure. That a person invests too
much in things that don’t matter, that take care of themselves, that are
partial, something about the quality of the fruit and the tree, a quality that
has nothing to do with lineage, has everything to do with life, aliveness. If
you’re worrying about ancestry, inheritance, and the future, you can lose the
aliveness of just being here and now in the present. It’s the sheer joy of
presence, of being alive, the experience… I’ve got George, he’s looking quite
pleased he got his point across. It’s like he’s playing the piano, resonance,
thank you George’
Me… ‘Yes thank you for
coming; you’re welcome back any time’
‘Now I’ve got Lillian,
Lillian Farmer, grey hair, slightly portly, Staines’
Me… ‘Is that the place
Staines?’
‘I thought it was… now
I’ve got Lillian the dancer, maybe someone I know’
Me… ‘Is she just
making herself known or does she have a message for us?’
‘I just keep getting
this picture of sitting with an apron and apples, like a lap full of apples.
Don’t know if she has a connection with George. Penny for your thoughts sort of
person. I asked for a message and just got be true to yourself. I get the
feeling she’s a very grounded person, kind and generous, homely. I get the
feeling she’s connected with George, may have been the wife, I think she had a
hard time with his pretentions but they are great friends now. She tried to
keep him in the here and now, a kind of Earth mother but he had pretentions and
also was difficult with his ambitions, connections and snobbery but it’s
alright now and the feeling I get is that wherever there has been love all the
difficulties can be seen and disappear when viewed from the larger perspective
and all that remains is the connection and the love. I guess it helps to know
that a person who’s maybe quite intransigent
in some ways and difficult, to know that they could see with the larger
eyes that they would be able to be the person you know they really are, the
person underneath who you love so you have to hold onto the intuition of the
real and the knowledge that that is the core, core values, that’s the
misunderstanding of the core, the values, we think the core values and the
genealogy, the inheritance, the genes, the traditions, that’s in the flavour
and the taste on your tongue now. That’s what Lillian knows and George now sees
in the glory of the trees. The core values has nothing to do with pedigree, has
everything to do with the unfolding and the blossoming of experience. Those
seeds are nothing, they’re wasted in the ground it’s the fruition, the growth,
the experience of the whole tree in the seed. Many human beings confuse
identity with quality. Quality has nothing to do with identity it has to do
with experience, with being. Identity is like a price tag, it tells you nothing
of the object… I’ve got Iris, she’s got elephants, somebody’s saying it’s not
rocket science… Bolton… Just get this large metal dustbin. Just had a feeling
of a gentleman with a moustache like a comedian, a bit of a joke, mischievous,
got custard, makes me think of sergeant Custard or something funny, ridiculous,
melodramatic. A lonely path to tread, the realisation of the lonely path. I
think that’s where we should end with the realisation of the lonely path to
tread because you can only do it alone, it can only be real to yourself… thank
you’
Once Liz felt she was back with it I did the healing
exercise, closing prayer and our closing down exercise…
