We had the room setup as usual.
I did the opening prayer at 8.40pm, turned out the light and
put the music on.
We did the Rainbow Bridge Exercise…
Liz started off looking at an exquisitely beautiful series
of three lakes with islands. They looked like Japanese gardens and were linked
by a wickerwork bridge. They were full of rainbows, blossom, orchids and lilies
and Liz was fascinated by the beauty and simplicity. A Japanese lady came
forward and led Liz over to a beautiful temple like a pagoda in the middle of
one of the islands. They were about to have a tea ceremony sitting in a circle
of people with a fountain in the middle, all incredibly beautiful and
exquisite. Liz was very happy just to sit there as they were served steaming
yellow fragrant jasmine tea in tiny cups. In the distance she saw wonderful
snowy mountains and a path leading there and then both the Japanese lady and
Liz began to form a snake like movement out into the snow towards the
mountains, a beautiful fluid movement to the mountains and back again. When
they got back, instead of a fountain there was a brazier of fire and someone
passed around a bowl of fragrant fire. Liz had the feelings of the elements and
being completely content to just be in that place, be completely simple.
Stillness, simplicity and contentment with exquisite beauty in that one place.
Liz found herself looking at the Japanese lady and it was like she was talking
to her as Liz saw her face and hands moving like a dancer, it was like they
were dancing this scene…
I started off standing by a manhole cover that had been
taken off revealing a hole so I decided to climb down it. There was a rope
ladder and as I descended I saw that I was entering a new world, climbing down
from the sky on this ladder until I reached some lush grass on the top of a
hill. I looked up and saw the ladder disappeared into the blue sky. There were
lots of children running around who didn’t seem surprised that I had just
climbed out of the sky. I walked down to a shallow lake which had a waterfall
on the other side so I went in and waded across to the waterfall then went
through it to find a cave in the rocks which I entered. The walls were
sparkling with gold and I saw people dressed in white robes standing by the
walls as I walked into the cave. I journeyed further into the cave and I
noticed the gold walls were becoming incrusted with precious stones and the
people were wearing colourful jewellery, the further I went the more jewels and
precious stones I saw. Then I came to a junction, one way continued with the
gold and jewelled walls and the other was just a plain rock cave so I took the
plain rock cave route which eventually came out into a room with a long table. Around
the table sat what looked like monks eating soup and a chunk of bread. I joined
them and was given a bowl of soup and bread and as I looked around I saw one of
the people from the other cave was also there and as he ate, his robes and
jewels started to disappear and he turned into one of the monks. He looked
pleased and contented that he was now part of this simple living and I got the
feeling that all the monks had come from the other cave to live a simple life…
I put the music back on and we continued the session…
The room started to flicker to me.
Then it felt like there was something crawling in my hair.
It felt cold around my face.
I had a lot of pressure and itchy feelings in my right ear
which continued on and off throughout the session.
It started to look wispy and wavy in the room to me.
Then it was lighter and misty.
My legs and feet became very cold.
My forehead felt tight.
Liz began to speak…
‘A sense of weight,
golden bricks in my lap, a city of gold, like a lion, like Aslan, Narnia…’
‘It’s like the words
in the background… Of what shall we build the house?’
‘I sense this house,
almost like a tent, made of silks that have rainbow patterns, colours painted
on them in silk and this silk is spun from the humblest of creatures the worm,
turquoise…’
‘Image of these
bubbles, bubbles have this filmy rainbow on the surface like in iridescent
patterns on oily water, on an insect’s wing, these delicate membranes… Of what
shall we build our house?’
‘I have the name
Charmian or Charmain’
‘I’m seeing these
silks again, embroidery silks, like walking down a path of sweet peas, very
subtle pastel colours, scented, sheer artistry, the creation…’
‘When you look at
bubbles that are forming a bubble can engulf another bubble, they can coalesce
and form a bigger bubble. These are just subtle manifestations of energy perceived
by the eyes or it can be music for the ears, manifestations of energy, one
soundwave being modulated by another, absorbing another waveform, another
function of light, the sound of energy, energy forms absorbing, coalescing,
mixing with others. We can interpret this in different ways according to our
cultural beliefs, our conditioning, can see it as savagery, extinction, murder
of one species by another one, erased by another, invasions, take overs,
assimilations. This is just the natural flow and transition and the creative
patterning of energy in all its manifestations and it’s all perfect, it’s all
how it is… Of what shall I build this house?’
‘It’s the mirage of
phantasmagoria, moving, coalescing, shifting, shape changing, miracle. The
patterns and the colours and the shapes and the sounds like clouds, changing,
patterning and the bursting like bubbles…’
‘Got the name Henry or
Henrietta, Henrik?’
‘I have a sense of the
lessons to be learnt from this falling snow, this great vast snowy dessert,
wilderness, that in the middle there’s absolute presence and fire lit in the
middle of this snow and ice, and the wolf, the wind and the knife edge of
survival sharpens the focus into the ice crystals, the meaning, the meaning of
predation, of the predator and prey, it’s attunement, that the one becomes
exquisitely sensitive of the energy of the other’
‘What we see as pain,
suffering and cruelty in this world is just our interpretation of something we
see as fixed which is in fact an energy construct, a waveform and if we saw it
as music, patterns, iron filings in a field being moved, shifted in different
ways forming different shapes, patterns, being absorbed, being individualised
again, single note, single waveform and then bifurcating into a complex pattern
and breaking up again, merging with a larger field pattern, all the time
transforming. You see the objects as we see them of nature, in their true
aspect of energy, the interactions, transitions and patternings can be
understood, appreciated independent of our thinking, of our conditioned
response, reaction’
The music ended and I asked if there was anything else to be
said?
Liz continued…
‘I just have the lady
in the silk komodo and she’s dancing. The komodo contains all the shapes and
forms of all living things and around her are all created forms and the lion
and the lamb are lying beside each other and are with her in friendship,
there’s no fear because all forms are understood for what they are and she’s
dancing the dance of creation and her name is Isis… That’s all…’
Once Liz felt back with it she did the healing exercise,
closing prayer and our closing down exercise.
Liz had remained aware throughout the session whereas I had
drifted in and out of sleep…
